Miri & Bintulu, 7 September – SOP Foundation is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its blood donation drive, held simultaneously in Bintulu and Miri on 7 September 2024. A total of 139 pints of blood were collected at Boulevard Shopping Malls in both locations, marking a significant contribution to the local blood banks and reinforcing SOP Foundation’s commitment to community health and well-being.
Iris Yong from SOP Foundation expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generosity of the donors and the steadfast support of the staff at both locations. She also acknowledged the vital contributions of the Blood Transfusion Units in Bintulu and Miri, the Malaysian Red Crescent Society Miri Chapter, and Boulevard Shopping Malls, whose strong partnerships were key to the event’s success. “This achievement is a testament to the power of community collaboration, and we are deeply appreciative of everyone’s involvement,” Iris remarked.
As a token of appreciation, donors at both locations received a 2kg Merris Lite Pure Vegetable Oil and a goodies bag, reflecting SOP Foundation’s commitment to giving back to the community. This blood donation drive is part of SOP Foundation’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, held twice a year. SOP Foundation is pleased to have expanded this initiative to Bintulu, enabling more communities to participate in this vital cause.
